Been a while since we had a new journal entry, so how about something fun?

On Thursday, as I was wandering around the Los Angeles Airport, I meandered past a Cinnabon. My very first thought? Animorphs, of course. Moments like these are not all that uncommon for me. I think of Tobias every, single time that I see a red-tailed hawk. It doesn't matter that it's been a while since I read any of the books and it doesn't matter that I'm almost twenty.

So here's my question: Do any of you ever have Animorphs moments? And if so, when? And why? How not alone am I in the universe of the Animorphs fandom? :D

Hah! I just turned 27 (that's so close to 30. Ugh) and I still enjoy Animorphs. There's nothing wrong with that.

Malls, hawks (I'm pleased to say we have a few different types of Hawks in my area that often remind me of Tobias and
the gang since they vary, like the different hawk morphs), cinnabon and other stuff remind me of Animorphs.
I guess one thing is how smart the squirrels around our house are. The first time I learned that they chewed into
the top of the bird feeder to make claw holes so they could hang upside down and eat from it, I was weirded out and thought
of Animorphs. I didn't know squirrels were that smart! (Cassie? Is that you? 0_o)

Can't really think of anything else, but I've been a bit too invested in other shows and things and kind of forgot about Animorphs (oops.) Though I did pick up number 11 to re-read a couple nights ago. Animorphs will always have a special place with me. :D

You most certainly are not alone!

I have most of the books on my shelf and I see references everywhere. Cinnamon Buns, centaurs, scythes, animals period, heck even wads of gum for Yeerks.

Darn you KA. At the very least you could have let Ax live.

its a good thing because i would rather think of something i like all day but the bad side is i cant go one day without thinking of them. i might be addicted. i need help. lol.

Oh god, I have so many of these moments, I can't even remember them all. The one that is probably the funniest is that I had tons of Beanie Babies, and most of them are named after Animorphs. As in I grouped them into groups, named them "Jake" or "Cassie" and separated them according to the particular "morphs". When I had to put them all away, I kept a few "ambassadors" of each group for my room, and every time I look at them I am reminded of a particular moment in the books.

Whenever I see a slug I think "Yeerk."
Whenever I eat oatmeal I think of book 17 and wonder if it would affect me if I were infested somehow...
Whenever I hear the song "I'm blue" I think of Ax
Whenever I see a black limo I automatically think "Visser three"
Whenever I call someone crazy they are "Loopy nutso insane to the membrane!"
When I see a red-tailed hawk I think Tobias.
I always wonder in the mall if I just passed one of them...
My spellcheck no longer rejects the words "animorph andalite morphing visser ect"
I wanted to name our cat Fluffer McKitty but mom said no. (But I did name another one of them Shorm. :D)
I went to a McDonalds and ordered a Happy meal with extra happy. (The scary thing was they nodded at me...O.o)
I have tried to morph. (Failed of course but tried...)
I have a ton of Animorph OC's and Animorphs art is the biggest area in my gallery.
Yeah I'm eighteen and I still do Animorphs stuff. I love it, I read it growing up and it was great, still is great and you are not fellow Animorph lover. :)

Loopy, nutso, insane to the membrane....really rolls off the tongue doesn't it? :meow:

I call one of our cats Fluffer sometimes. It isn't his name, but he doesn't seem to care. ;)

Man I love the Animorph serries!
They are my life!
My teachers would always scold me when they saw that I was reading Animorphs during class
Ok so back to the question :P
Every time I walk into school I look around and wonder who’s a human controller! :paranoid:
And also I have a family of red tailed hawks in my backyard that make me think of Tobias

God is going to strike me dead for this, but every time I'm at church and I see someone getting baptised, some part of me can't help but think "Wow, wouldn't a baptismal pool be a great way to recruit a whole slew of new controllers?"

Also, everytime I go to the mall and walk past the Cinnabon, I cant help but say "Bunzzzz."

Animorphs is EVERYWHERE whenever there's animals around xD As others have mentioned: especially when there's birds, ESPECIALLY especially when they're the larger and predatory kind of birds :meow:

I always start to think about how it must be to fly like that, and then I think about Tobias, as well as the others, and all of the wonderful descriptions of moments of flight in the books... I'll always love them deeply, no other books have taught me so much about people, animals, and still affected me so profoundly on an emotional level~

Oh, wow, I really need to read them again now^^
