Many of you have probably heard this already, but for those of you that haven't, the Animorphs series is to be rereleased starting with the first six books in the year 2011. Updates will be made to popculture references, mistakes will be fixed, and the covers will all be redesigned. If these first six books sell really well, then Scholastic may release the rest of the series as well.
Release dates for the first six books as follows:
Animorphs #01: The Invasion – May 2011
Animorphs #02: The Visitor – May 2011
Animorphs #03: The Encounter – July 2011
Animorphs #04: The Message – October 2011
Animorphs #05: The Predator – January 2012
Animorphs #06: The Capture – April 2012

Yeah, the series is really difficult to find currently. I eventually managed to get the whole series by purchasing many of them online.

I'm hoping that the books will become popular enough in their rerelease that the movie will be back on. :)

Oh, holy crap, yes. Or a really nice, high-end animated series. Hell, we could probably even do a live-action one a lot better now. :B

I think animated would suit it better though, personally. If they made it as epic as the Avatar series, hoooo boy would I be giddy!

Seriously, man, I would KILL to see a really well-done animated series. Like - a recent one I thought was great was "Wolverine and the X-Men," (curse you, executive meddling), something in that area.

Of course, my utter geek NIRVANA would be something like the caliber of The Animatrix. But that's just like, my artistic and animation naughty dream right there. <33

Oh gawsh i agree. I would cry endless tears of utter happiness if they made it "Animatrix" quality animation. Endless tears.
:iconcryforeverplz: X-men animation would get them almost endless tears.
That's it. If they don't do it, the fans must take it upon themselves to do it.

SERIOUSLY. Ohgod. Animatrix ALONE makes me cry nigh-endless tears of happiness, but oh MY GAWD CAN YOU IMAGINE THE SPLENDOR. :heart:____:heart: Or like - THE IDEAL would be an amazing Animatrix-caliber animated feature-film of the first couple books (rated PG-13, please? It would NEVER HAPPEN, but it should because this shit is DARK, and seeing it on the screen instead of just reading it would EMPHASISE THIS.) And then a continuing animated series?

DAMN. That would be amazing. <3

Yea, definitely. When the show was on in the 90s not only was the tech not what it needed to be, but their funding was really low.

Yes, they really did. I've actually been meaning to watch that show. Never saw that much of it as a kid, and I barely remember what I did see. Mostly, I remember styrofoam andalites. :XD:

I only really remember little bits and pieces of it. But I still love the theme, and recently found that in the scene with Jake talking to Tom on the phone ("The real Tom. Hold on."), they used the most GORGEOUS song that's one of my favorites now.

It's called "Song Unsung," by Eden White, and it's just... beautiful. <3

That, and even as a kid, being confused how in the first episode they somehow figured out that Chapman was a Controller by the way he scratched his leg with his foot.

I totally have the first two videocassettes! :iconhurrplz: and I'm in love with Jake.

I also loved that the morphing technology was revolutionary for its time.
